Meet Our Executive Director
The Boys & Girls Club of Chester is excited to announce the appointment of Derrick T. Billups, Sr. as our new Executive Director, effective February 1, 2021. Billups has over ten years of teaching and coaching experience, on the High School level, with more than 25 years in the Insurance and Financial Services Field. Mr. Billups has spent the past ten years as a coach, supervisor, and Sr. Director of Community Programs for Legacy Youth Tennis and Education ( formally the Arthur Ashe Tennis Foundation), a non-profit organization serving under-resourced youth and communities in Philadelphia.
For years, Mr. Billups has been an active donor of BGCC. Mr. Billups will provide leadership on our mission to expand virtual learning support for students and increase programming opportunities for the Boys & Girls Club of Chester’s incredible members.
“I am honored to serve as the Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Chester.” Mr. Billups states. “Along with the staff and Board of Directors, join us as we continue our quest to move this organization forward. It remains our mission to support the youth of Chester as they continue along the path to future success by providing an environment that supports excellence in education, good character and citizenship, and a healthy lifestyle.”
